Title : Human After All
We all live in a world where we base our very existences on the dreams and the hopes that we hold out for secretly in our minds, unshared but often open to the ones around us who can see into the windows to our souls and read our minds like a book. We dream and we hope, this is no surprise, but with every chimera that we create, we only serve to come one step closer to realizing that not all fabrications will eventually come true, that such pillars of our existence may have never served to support us, but instead have us live for something that was never there, to have us realize that we are human after all. We dream of worlds where there is no suffering, of a world where peace reigns and bloodshed is nothing but a forgotten page in our history books. We dream of the ability to cease death and promise everyone a life that never ends; a life that would never know the meaning of suffering and foreign to the terms of pain. We dream of reversing time, to correct our faults and to be a better mankind, to bless ourselves with the capacity to never make mistakes again. We dream of being in a better place, where everything is possible, where perfection is key. But we are human after all. We dream of being free from our troubles, to live unbounded by the realities of life, to live without worry and the need to fret an unnecessary one. We dream of being the epitome of everything, to be the best and nothing less, of being the one that the world has set its eyes on. We dream of simply living a life that we deem nothing less of faultless, to be in a place that exists in the realms of bliss. But we are human after all. All of us have our dreams, our hopes and our wishes, a fabrication of fantasy that consist of both the plausible and the impossible, of our wants and our needs, of what we were to become and what we were never destined to be. Such simple imaginings are nothing of an anomaly to us humans since the dawn of mankind, of thoughts and ideas; co existing with us, their omnipresence frightening to an extent where we are forced to face the truth that there is not an ounce of assurance to such baseless hopes, that dreams will be dreams and hopes will be hopes. Yet we still hold out for the chance that someday all these will come true, even though disappointment is inevitable for almost everyone of them, we still hold out, for they are the basis of our existence, of what composes us, of what we are and what we will be, and thus we will forever be hoping and having dreams that will never come true. For we are human after all. |
